Logicalis Strengthens Presence in Key Australian Geography and Broadens Service Offerings with Acquisition of Corpnet

, Jan 10, 2014

Singapore, 2 May 2012 – Logicalis Group, the international IT solutions and managed services provider, has agreed to acquire Corpnet, a Brisbane-based solution provider, from e-Business Systems Ltd.  Corpnet provides data centre, cloud and managed services solutions to the Queensland mid-sized and enterprise markets. The acquisition consideration is comprised of $2.7m on completion with an additional potential earn-out payment of $0.6m.

This acquisition enables Logicalis to become a significant player in the Queensland market, primarily in the Finance, Mining and Construction and Travel sectors, and builds upon Logicalis’ existing datacentre and managed services expertise.  Corpnet has strong storage and virtualisation expertise and has built its cloud-based services to deliver Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), as well as Managed Backup and DR-as-a-Service offerings that complement Logicalis’ managed services portfolio.

Corpnet was founded in 2001 and later merged with e-Business Systems Ltd in 2008.  Since its founding, the company has grown to achieve annualised revenues of approximately $20 million and become one of the leading datacentre services and managed services providers in Queensland. Corpnet holds the highest level of certification with EMC and is EMC’s largest storage reseller in Queensland. The company’s datacentre vendor accreditations also include Cisco, Hitachi, VMware and Commvault.

Ian Cook, Chief Executive of Logicalis Group, comments:

“This acquisition further enhances our ability to serve the Australian market and complements and augments our managed services business, adding important skilled resources and new cloud-based services, enabling us to deliver a stronger end-to-end managed services portfolio to new and existing clients.
